Teaching

The India Competence Centre at the University of St.Gallen is dedicated to research, teaching and executive education activities.

At our centre, we offer various bachelor and master programs that provide valuable insights to students, executives, and academics. Our collaborations with industry experts and renowned scholars enable us to offer unique courses, including our successful joint course with Prof. Dr. Paul Rollier, one of France's top scholars in anthropology focusing on South Asia. In this course, our students gain an understanding of the social changes required to implement agricultural reforms or cleaning drinking water projects in India.

Our commitment to providing exceptional teaching experiences extends beyond our joint courses. We have also been offering a program on “Negotiation Tactics in the Indian-European Context” for the Global Negotiator Program at the University of St. Gallen, together with Dr. Moser and Michael Enderle from Dr. Wamser + Batra and provide guidance to business development managers tasked with the evaluation of business opportunities in India.

We offer a selected range of courses at both bachelor and master levels, including “Doing Business in India”, "Culture, Technology & Politics in India", “Dealing with Uncertainty in Dynamic Markets,” and “India: A Comparison between Social Businesses and Development Work.” Additionally, we continue to expand our long-term research collaboration with Prof. Dr. Gopalakrishan Narayanamurthy from the University of Liverpool and Prof. Shainesh G from IIM Bangalore.

In our efforts to provide students with access to experts in the Indo-Swiss business context, we have established collaborations with the prestigious Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce (SICC) as well as the Swiss Business Hub in Mumbai. These collaborations provide bachelor and master students with valuable industry insights and networking opportunities.

Join us at the India Competence Centre and discover the many opportunities for learning, research, and collaboration that we offer.
