Corporate Governance Competence Centre

We aim at contributing to the development of corporate governance good practice.

The Corporate Governance Competence Centre at the Research Institute for International Management aims at contributing to the national and international development of effective corporate governance practices in listed and non-listed companies and state-owned enterprises.

We are dedicated to identifying effective institutional and business practices in the field of corporate governance. We intend to do so by building a network of people from business circles, academia and politics both nationally and internationally. We are convinced that an interdisciplinary and international approach helps to enhance the corporate governance in many companies and thus serves the broader economy. An effective corporate governance framework is founded as much on soft law, best practice, evaluation, education and improvement as on hard law.

We will pursue an interdisciplinary approach and seek to work closely with other scholars and institutes from the School of Management and from the Law School of the University of St.Gallen, as well as other institutions.
