As part of the CCDI, The Paths to Leadership that Advance Inclusion and Diversity (PLAID) lab, develops advanced research on leadership and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion). They integrate knowledge from organizational behavior, social psychology, management and entrepreneurship and use rigorous empirical approach with multiple quantitative methods (e.g., field, experimental, and social network studies) and qualitative methods (e.g., ethnographic observations).
The projects from the lab are funded by a 1.2 million CHF PRIMA grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (2021-2025) awarded to Jamie Gloor (PI).
Currently, the team is working on multiple projects. Among others, they are investigating how sports can be leveraged for more diverse social network, examining how motherhood skills can be emphasized to benefit (rather than hinder) leadership advancement, exploring how nudges can be used to reduce homophilous networks as well as how allyship can promote women’s leadership capital.
